Release of Liability: I acknowledge that the sport of golf is a medium-risk activity and that I am participating at my own risk and in full knowledge that there are risks associated with golfing. I further acknowledge that the inherent and unforeseen risks involved in golfing may result in injury or death. In consideration of being allowed to participate, I agree for myself to participate in the activity knowing that it may be dangerous. I hereby assume all risk for my actions and absolve Shelter Valley Pines Golf Club and Shelter Valley Park & Golf Inc. and any of its agents and employees, from all liability or claims of any nature, which may result from injury caused to myself or my property. In exchange for being permitted to participate in these activities, I hereby declare that in filling out this document that I have read and fully understand the terms and conditions stated herein.

Weather Acknowledgement & Rain Check Policy: I acknowledge that in case of lightning or severe weather, I am at risk if I continue to play. I agree not to hold the Shelter Valley Pines Golf Club responsible from any injury or death that might result from my decision Rain checks will be given for any round not completed due to inclement weather determined by the club. Our full rain check policy is posted in the pro shop. I agree that no rain checks will be given if the round begins in the rain.

Alcohol Policy

All staff are Smart Serve certified. Servers will monitor the alcohol consumption of individuals served using "smart serve” techniques and will take steps to prevent an individual from becoming intoxicated. Under no circumstances may personal alcohol be brought into the licensed areas of the club. By bringing outside alcohol into a licensed area the patron is not only breaking the law but jeopardizing our liquor license. Licensed areas include the parking lot, clubhouse, patio, deck and golf course. Any alcohol that is not purchased at the club and brought into the licensed area will be confiscated and disposed of at the patron’s expense. In accordance with the liquor laws of Ontario, servers must check the I.D. of anyone who appears under the age of 25 years. The legal drinking age is 19 years. Any individual with I.D. that appears to be altered or falsified will be denied service and asked to leave the premises. If a patron is suspect in concealing personal alcohol in their golf bag or golf cart, employees may ask the individual to reveal the contents of their bag. Golf bags may be checked by staff. If the patron refuses to reveal the items in his bag or cart, the patron will be asked to leave the premises immediately and no refunds will be given. In accordance with our liquor permit, no personal coolers are permitted on the golf course. I will comply with the liquor laws of the Province of Ontario and will not consume on the premises any alcohol which was not purchased from the Shelter Valley Pines G.C.
